Welcome to the amazing Madeira Island and A&A Travelling. Madeira is an archipelago situated in the North Atlantic Ocean, just under 400 km to the north of the Canary islands and 520 km west of Morocco. The capital of the island is Funchal which is located on the main island`s south coast. Madeira`s population is around 250,000.

This is a 7,4 km out-and-back trail and considered one of the most popular hikes in the island.

This historical city is located on the east coast of Madeira Island around 22 km from
Funchal. It was here that the first Portuguese exploreres desimbarked in July
1419. The city has a little over 20,000 inhabitants.

This traditional fishing village located just five kilometres from Funchal, inspired Sir Winston Churchil to paint it`s beautiful surroundings. at the time. The village has several points of interest, such as Curral das Freiras, Boca dos Namorados, Pico da Torre, Cabo Girão and Boca da Corrida.

The Cabo Girão Skywalk is the highest cliff skywalk in Europe. The skywalk opened in
October 2012.

The cable car is located 4 km away from the Skywalk at a lower altitude(300m)

07:53 Monte Palace Tropical Garden.
This amazing garden Is located in the Monte district of Funchal featuring amazing 100,000 plants. This large garden includes ponds and cascades, exotic trees, and plants as well as a mineral museum.
08:31 Toboggan Ride on a Wicker Basket
This unique Toboggan Ride in the traditional basket sledges which date back to early 19th
century, where they were used as a means of transport by the local residents, who wanted
to travel from the village of Monte to the city of Funchal.

This town is named after its river (Wild River).

Around 5700 people live in this area subdivided in 3 parishes.

Seixal is located between San Vincent and Porto Moniz, and is an excellent place to stop
if you are travelling through the highway of the Northern coast of Madeira.

This is a charming little town that is located on the north western tip of Madeira. This
isolated part of the island survived for many years as a fishing port by specialising
in whaling.
In 2018, CNN elected these pools as one of the 52 best beaches in the world.
