As many as 141 people were killed after a cable bridge collapsed in the Machchhu river in Gujarat's Morbi district on Sunday evening.

Meanwhile, Sandeep Singh, Municipal Chief Officer, Morbi, said that only 20 to 25 people used to go in a batch on the bridge that has always been there.

A case has been initiated under IPC sections 304, 308, and 114 against the collapse of the suspension bridge over the Macchu. The case is lodged against the agency responsible for the maintenance of the bridge, the agency involved in the management.
