Centre for Roma Studies and Cultural Relations (CRSCR) – Antar Rashtriya Sahayog Parishad (ARSP) hosted a commemorative event to mark World Roma Day on 12 April 2024. The conference aimed at reflecting on the broader history of Roma’ oppression and recent developments in advancing anti-Antigypsyism, Emancipation and Integration besides, revisiting social, cultural, political and economic positions of Roma and its historical ties with India. The event witnessed eminent scholars and activists like Grattan Puxon, Hristo Kyuchukov, Gruia Bumbu, Stevan Nikolic along with Indian scholars like Shyam Singh Shashi, Shyam Parande, Rajesh Sachdeva and Zameer Anwar.
