Prince Anand becomes the King of Yangdon after his father's death. He marries a Filipina doctor named Isabel, and the whole kingdom celebrates their union, most especially the birth of Princess Areeyah. Ashi Behati, a woman whose ancestors formerly ruled Yangdon, will do anything to claim the throne for her son and bring back the glory of her family.
