In this video I have a look at some new Li-ion AA cells, but unlike 14500 batteries, these have a normal AA voltage of 1.5V. Charging is done via micro USB, and the cells are rated close to the Eneloops in terms of capacity.
There are some pros and cons to these cells, which I discuss briefly - they do hold their voltage higher than other chemistries, though there is a limit of 1.5A max drain per cell, thus suitable for most devices except very high drain ones (such as flashguns)
