Forklift trucks need to be operational, reliable and in a safe condition at all times. The mandatory daily pre-op check is designed to ensure everything is in good working order, and to detect potential problems early. If check is performed using a hard-copy checklist, there is delay before the fleet manager knows the results.

Linde Material Handling has developed a special app that allows the pre-op check to be made with a smartphone: by answering the questions, the driver can quickly and easily identify trucks in need of attention, document any faults, and prevent defective vehicles from being deployed.

If an issue is discovered, an alert is immediately issued to the fleet manager, and he can contact a Linde service engineer to ensure prompt action is taken.
