The three madrasas of Samarkand, Uzbekistan, are some of the most iconic and impressive Islamic monuments in the world. These three grand structures, the Ulugh Beg Madrasah, the Sher-Dor Madrasah, and the Tilya-Kori Madrasah, were built over a span of two centuries, from the 15th to the 17th, and each one is a masterpiece of Timurid architecture.
