HOW TO LET GO OF THE NEED TO BE RIGHT SYNDROME: Are you a "know-it-all"? Do you or someone you know feel the need to always be right or seek validation through appearing knowledgable or intelligent? If so, you are not alone. This video looks at the psychology behind the "need to be right" syndrome, trying to always look "better" than others, and having a superiority complex and discusses how we can let go of these needs and behaviors. The need to be right is an extremely prevalent theme in our culture, but unfortunately this external validation reliance is an unhealthy habit that can harm relationships and can negative affect both our personal and professional life. It can be very difficult to deal with someone who thinks they are right all the time. Today we discuss why the need for external validation in this way can be harmful, and how to shift this behavior and engage in more effective communication that shows respect and care for the other party, as well as for their viewpoint, even when you disagree. I truly hope you find it healing and helpful!
