Synopsis::
The telephone rings as Mohit dresses up for office. A chool chum, Joydeb, is calling after 25 years. He sound urgent & wishes to see Mohit’ for a few minutes’ . Mohit asks him over that evening. Joy arrives. Mohit can’t relate this emaciated man to the Joy of yesteryears. Life’s relentless struggles have shattered Joydeb. Today, he is bankrupt. Bankrupt. A couple of hundred rupees could tide over his son’s exam fees. ‘Come on Sunday. I am short of ready cash now, ‘Mohit tells Joy. Even so, he is unconvinced about his class mate’s credentials & agrees with a friend, Banikanto, that Joydeb is a swindler. Sunday. A young boy comes to meet Mohit. Joy is unwell & has sent his son, Sanjoy, with an imploratory letter. Sanjoy is an exact image of the father as the child Mohit remembers. Mohit is overwhelmed & he reaches for his wallet.
