Join us for a Monday morning walk around the rural market town of Masham, in the glorious Yorkshire Dales!

Situated in the strikingly beautiful region of Lower Wensleydale, within the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Beauty, Masham is famous for its breweries, steam engines and sheep fair. The town has a strong arts and crafts culture, which is reflected in its annual arts festival. Masham's Wednesday and Saturday morning markets are a great place to pick up local produce, and its pubs are second-to-none!

We stayed in Masham at the beginning of September 2024, and it was a fantastic base to explore North Yorkshire and the Dales. Very much 'Herriot Country'! The weather was a bit peaky, but we're in England so we love a bit of drizzle! We drove, but there seemed to be pretty decent options for local buses. We went on plenty of local walks - Including a delightful ramble along the River Ure. Fountains Abbey, Grassington (for All Creatures Great & Small fans - please see our Darrowby vid!) and Ripon are all nearby, along with countless villages and attractions.
