Before, I used a Quipu inspired system for tagging the strawberry baskets, but some rodent took a liking to the cloth strings and chewed them up. Then, I got some metal tags from Amazon, which worked well, but the tags were too small.
Ladies and gentlemen, hereby I present you with a DIY all weather plant tags. These aluminium plant tags are made from 100% recycled materials and can be made into any size of your liking. At the estimated value of at least 25 cents each - we are making quarters here ;) I folded the edges of my tags twice as we have a little curios child - so no things with sharp corners. You can skip the step of folding the corners if you do not mind to save you time.
p.s. Use a large container to catch the small and sharp metal pieces that fall off from cutting the metal can. You can also wear glasses or goggles for extra precaution.
Okie dokie, let's make some quarters =)
