As @NBCNews Correspondent Courtney Kube left Kabul, Afghanistan, only a few weeks before the city would fall to the Taliban, she had a sudden thought.
“I remember when I left Kabul in July, I thought, wow, after all these years and, and dozens of times, I've traveled there many, many months over the that I've spent there, I may never set foot in this country again,” said Kube. “And that it wouldn't be a place where us journalists would be welcome anymore.”
On this episode of Behind the Story at NBCU Academy, Courtney Kube and Pentagon Producer Mosheh Gains take us Behind the Story of covering the fall of Afghanistan and their stories about American veterans.
