18th amendment also known as 18th amendment Act 2010, drafted by a committee of 26 members headed by Raza Rabbni Khar.
It was approved by National Assembly by the majority of 292 vs 342 votes in NA. and by 90 vs 100 in the Senate.

Main Features of 18th Amendment are:
1. Concurrent Legislative List was abolished (provincial)
2. NWFP replaced by KPK
3. Baluchistan was replaced by Balochistan
4. Sind was replaced by Sindh.
5. Any person abrogated constitution shall be answerable to court as (traitor) as high treason trial. (Amendment Article 6)
6. Freedom of association (any person can form association or a party) (Amendment in Article 17)
7. Free education 5-16 (Amendment of Article 25)
8. PM Will inform from all decisions and policies to The President (Amendment in Article 46)
9. President only can dissolve Assembly by the advice of PM. (Amendment of Article 58)
10. Increased Seats by four now The Senate has 104 Seats. (Amendment in Article 59)
11. Governor can dissolve Provincial Assembly only after the advice of CM of the that province. (Amendment in Article 112)
12. Provincial Assemblies are bound to establish local government. (Amendment in Article 140)
13. Appointment of Judges of Apex court i.e. Supreme Court, High Court and Federal Shariat Court are through a Judicial commission. (Amendment in Article 175)
14. Chief Justice of Supreme Court will be appointed by the President of Pakistan. (Amendment in Article 177)
15. Third term PM or CM is permitted now.

Department were given to provinces from Federal government are as follows:
Education Department, Rural Development Department, HEC, Women Development department, Tourism Department, Social Welfare Department.
