Law enforcement personnel from various agencies in Utah participate in weeklong Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) education program designed to help officers gain a better understanding when they deal with the mentally ill in the course of their jobs. Thursday's exercise was meant to simulate what some of Utah's mentally ill residents suffer daily — auditory hallucinations — due to a variety of psychoses, including schizophrenia.
