Giving backgrounder on the LRT-1 Cavite Extension project under the #BuildBuildBuild program of the Duterte Administration while waiting for installation of pi-girder. The project is undertaken by the Dept. of Transportation, LRTA, LRMC, Alstom and Boygues Travaux Publics. NEDA approved the project in 2000, Congress approved funds for right of way in 2007, contract was awarded in 2015, right of way resolved in 2019 and it was only then that groundbreaking was done. Pres. Duterte dissolved DOTC to make it DOTR and DICT in June 2016 for projects to take off.
