During the spring Anole males fight to defend their territory and the right to mate with females. If they weighed a few more pounds I would be scared to death of them. As it is I don't like it when my husband grabs one and gets it to bite my ear lobe. The only way to get them to let go is to not touch them. They eventually fall off, leaving teeth marks behind. Although they can change colors they are not related to the true African chameleon. I'm also wondering if lizards get poison ivy. They were climbing all over poison ivy leaves and roots the whole time.
