My backpacking and wild camping trip on the Cambrian Way, a 298 mile trail over the mountains of Wales from Cardiff Castle to Conway Castle. The terrain combined with 74000 feet of ascent and 74000 feet of descent make it arguably Britain's hardest trail.
Part 4 crosses remote moorland from Storey Arms to Glyntawe, often pathless but quiet and offering solitude in a lovely wild area. From Glyntawe the route goes over the Black mountain, my favourite part of the trail so far. Superb ridge walking, with expansive views and pretty llyns.
