This time, we're going to tell you about a cute and rare species of monkey known as the Golden Lion Tamarin! Are you ready to see those cute creature?! Get ready to enter the video! The Golden Lion Tamarin is confined to three small tropical rainforest areas in southeastern Brazil: Poco das Antas Biological Reserve, Fazenda Uniao Biological Reserve, and private land through the Reintroduction Program. Tamarins inhabit lowland coastal woodlands that are no more than 984 feet above sea level. They can be found in swamps and highland woods. The golden lion Tamarins are active for 12 hours a day. They do not sleep in a particular place; they change dens daily. In this way, the predators won't be able to catch them easily. Their first activity in the morning is to travel, find food, and feed on fruits. They focus on capturing insects during afternoons, and as evening approaches, they move to dens. They use hollow tree cavities, dense vines, or epiphytes as sleeping sites. They select places with a height of about 36 and 49 ft above the ground. They tend to be active earlier and retire late during the warmer days as days are longer.
