The cost of cleaning up the old landfill that is being washed into the sea at the North Beach in Bray could cost up to €12m. The dump contains more than 104,000 cubic metres of waste including, broken asbestos tiles, and excessive levels of ammoniacal nitrogen, potassium and manganese in the ground water. I've being pushing this issue for over 10 years now and I'm happy that at last progress is being made. The report identifies 6 possible options for dealing with the serious issue, thankfully it says that doing nothing isn't an option.
