It's really hard to beat the history and heritage of the venerable Colt 1911. Over the years, many companies have duplicated this time-tested design in many different calibers. The gun we are looking at in this video is the GSG 1911-22 (identical to the Sig Sauer 1911-22) which is chambered in .22 LR. With the size and weight of a 1911, the 1911-22 makes for a great 1911 trainer at a fraction of the cost for the ammo. The 1911-22 is also around 80% parts compatible with any 1911 so you can easily switch grips, safetys, sights, and a few other parts.
