As part of the iconic Television Centre regeneration Michael J Lonsdale provided the hydraulic services and in the role of lead contractor designed the distribution routes for the M&E services throughout the basement areas, subordinate plant rooms and the car parking areas. Michael J Lonsdale undertook the installation of the primary heating and cooling plant forming a district heating and cooling network to entire estate. This network was subsequently adopted by an ESCO and we worked alongside them to ensure the system met their specific delivery needs.
The estate is now up and running and includes a health club, cinema, hotel and private members club residential accommodation, commercial office space and retail outlets. It forms a vibrant part of the wider regeneration of the White City area and includes open spaces and landscaping as part of the public realm works.
