If you have a large urban project with financing needs, we invite you to submit your project to the UN-HABITAT Cities Investment Facility (CIF) Open Call.
The CIF is a platform to match SDG-aligned urban projects to a growing pool of financiers, designed to unlock greater capital flows for impactful urban projects.
As part of the CIF ecosystem you will receive:
- Access to investors and support from the CIF team to build more investable projects
- Assistance with project assessment, financial modelling, feasibility studies, and more.
- An opportunity to be showcased to investors and fellow project owners at the World Urban Forum 11 in Katowice, Poland in June, 2022.
- Exposure on the Cities Investment Portal – the CIF's webportal for investors and city project owners to connect and collaborate
We welcome submissions from a range of urban sectors, such as transport, energy, affordable housing, and more. Projects should address one or multiple SDGs in cities, have preliminary scoping and preparation, be connected with an existing development strategy, and present evidence of government support.
The deadline for submissions is 8 November 2021, 11:59 PM East African Time.
