(3 Sep 2016) British Prime Minister Theresa May insisted Britain would be a 'global leader' for free trade following the country's decision to leave the EU as she left for the G20 summit in China on Saturday.
In what will be her first G20 as prime minister, May could face a frosty reception from China over her delayed decision on the Hinkley Point power station - a nuclear power plant - which French firm EDF plans to build in the UK with Chinese partners CGN.
Unfazed May stated that this was a "golden era" for UK-China relations.
