Nigeria confirms its first case of the Coronavirus, after a man entered the west African nation on a Turkish airlines flight that traveled via Istanbul, according to the Lagos state health commissioner. The man traveled from Milan, Italy and landed on February 24. He then spent the night in a hotel near the airport before continuing to his job in neighboring Ogun state.
The United States warns that terrorist groups may be plotting an attack against an unnamed “major hotel" in Kenya’s capital. The U.S. embassy in Nairobi says it is believed to be a hotel popular with tourists and business travelers -- and urged visitors to be vigilant in their travels.
