We spent the day recording drum overheads through the preamps we have available at Triple Colossal Studios in Hoboken, NJ, using a pair of AKG C414 XLS LDCs. The preamps we tested are:
- A Designs Pacifica
- API 3124
- Daking Mic Pre IV
- Universal Audio 4-710d
- Seventh Circle Audio (SCA) with N72 and T15
- RME Fireface UFX

Drums are by GMS, cymbals by Sabian, heads by Aquarian, sticks by Promark.
