Austin Paulhus, a senior at Central Falls High School, and his mentor and teacher, Deloris Grant, visited State of Mind ahead of the National Poetry Out Loud competition to take place this spring in Washington, D.C.. Austin performed his winning poem on the show. If he wins the national competition he will be awarded a $20,000 college scholarship.
