A pile up occurred on the restart when Sebastian Bourdais punted Will Power from behind causing a chain reaction crash involving Power, Justin Wilson, James Hinchcliff, Alex Tagliani, E.J. Viso, Ed Carpenter, Graham Rahal, and Ryan Briscoe. Power angrily threw his gloves at Bourdais then gave one of his classic interviews calling him a chump.
