The Bureau of Reclamation said releases from Folsom Dam could continue even after this latest storm passes through Northern California. Already, all five of the dam’s gates are open, releasing water at 25,000 cubic feet per second. Due to the storm’s warmth, Sierra runoff is likely to play a big role in how long the releases are needed.
