First lap action of Wednesday's race from the JD BYRIDER Offshore Race Team's 388 Skater. Rough water conditions typically suit the aggressive style of the team and this day was no different; on the rough back stretch of the race course, the team was able to catch and convincingly pass two competitors. Despite the great rough water performance, the team's top speed and eventually the race were compromised by an electrical issue with the port motor, significantly reducing power.
