The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancer and give survivors long and healthy lives. On July 8, 2011, 22 people raised more than $6500 by volunteering to have their heads shaved at The Nebraska Medical Center. Here are a few stories explaining why these people decided to do this - most often it's in honor, in memory or in support of a family member or friend. But many people choose to do it just because they want to support the cause. This was the fifth year The Nebraska Medical Center hosted the event.
