Is lectroforming calling your name but your not sure where to start? this is an absolute begginers guide to setting up an electroforming bath.
What you'll need:
-DC Power Supply
-Gator Clips (usually comes with DC power supply)
-Large Tupperware tub (used for kitchen storage)
-Anode Bag
-Copper Anode (I use thick wall copper tubing form the hardware store)
-Copper Jewelry Bar (bus bar)
-Electroforming Solution (I made my own but you can buy it online)
-Jewelry Piece you are trying to plate
-**OPTIONAL BUT RECOMENDED** Midas copper brightener solution (bought online)
I started off working with glass and then merged my way into electroforming which is extremely fun to work with and create amazing looking pieces with amazing pieces of nature. this technique allows you to turn natural elements (such as shells, crystals, leaves & even insects) into beautiful one of a kind jewelry. Since I started playing around with this technique, It led me to find different tutorials on Youtube and finding new techniques to manipulate the metal. you will see many different styles on my channel so be sure to check it out!
