While the rest of the world prepares to put 2010 to bed, a small group of dedicated individuals are building something potentially very special in the heart of Nicosia's buffer zone.
Here's a quick look at the progress being made on the Home for Cooperation currently under construction in the buffer zone in Cyprus. When the Association for Historical Dialogue and Research set about transforming the derelict building sitting between the two communities on the island, the pressing question was how to utilise the place and its history to create something new while at the same time keeping elements of its multifaceted past.
As the webisode shows, the AHDR, engineers and architects set about working on the dilapidated building to convert it into a space where ideas, research and people are welcome, on the premise that one day soon it will become a true Home for Cooperation.
