The Forest City Owls will host this season's Coastal Plain League All-Star Game at McNair Field in Forest City, NC. Leading up to the game the all-star athletes are set to compete in a home run derby and pitching contest on Sunday, July 7th, accompanied by a fireworks show and live music. All of Sunday's events are free to the public. The main event will take place on Monday, July 8th, when the top players from the East and West Divisions will face off for the title. Rutherford County is home to dozens of locally owned restaurants and bars, including the Twisted Pear, Smith's Drugs, and the Copper Penny, and more.
