They protested against the decision of the Jharkhand government to declare the pilgrimage centre a tourist place and alleged vandalism of a temple in Palitana, Gujarat. Parasnath Hill, also known as Sammed Shikhar, in the Giridih district of Jharkhand, is the most significant pilgrimage centre for the Jain community in the world.
