「 Venture 2021: Self 」

NUS Dance Synergy is proud to present AY21/22’s edition of Venture, entirely choreographed and performed by our 44th Batch! Venture is our performance platform for new Synergizers, acting as an incubation programme for young choreographers. This year’s theme was “Self” — a flexible and reflective theme which stimulates ideas on the perception of our physical and mental selves, leaving space for open interpretation.

Synopsis:
We all start out individually and are slowly influenced by the people we meet along our journey. Initially we try to copy others (trying to fit in) but then midway we realise that we are unable to simply copy, and at the end of the day we choose how we want to grow ourselves, and how much we take from others. At the end, we find a way to complement each other.
