The Home Ministry will improve facilities at the Custom, Immigration and Quarantine Complex at the Sultan Iskandar Building (BSI) after taking over the management of the building beginning Jan 1.
Its minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the ministry will fully utilise the RM85 million allocations announced in the 2020 Federal Budget for the purpose.
The management of the building was previously under the Prime Minister's Department.
Muhyiddin, who is the chairman of the Special Committee on Congestion at the Johor Causeway, said to improve the lighting system at the building, it would cost about RM5 million.
