To do barn finds you need to wait for the team to give you a barn location hint. This will show up as a purple circle you your map. Drive to the location and then you need to find a barn that looks like the one on the thumbnail of this video. Once you find the item, your team will take it away to renovate it. This process takes considerable time. Some barn finds take longer than others to get ready. If you're desperate for the car you can opt to spend lots of cash on it to rush the job.
