Neretva is a river located in the southern part of Bosnia and Herzegowina or precisely Herzegowina. It is known for its smaragd-green water, and foremost a very rare species of trout - Soft mouth (lat. Salmo obtusirostris).
You are guessing... my goal was to catch one of these.
In this video, I am fishing in an urban fly fishing zone of the town of Konjic.
As this is my first try of caching a soft mouth trout, I needed some time to get to know its preferred habitat and feeding habits, before I actually caught one. Besides that, I also have to thank local fishermen and representatives of the Fishermen Association of Konjic for their tips.
In this video, the last of the four video series, I have finally managed to catch one. It was really a magnificent feeling... :)
Besides beautiful nature and clean rivers, Bosnia is also known for friendly and easy-going people, who are great hosts and will do anything to make you feel welcomed.
