Bell's palsy seminar and workshop are being organized for long-term sufferers of Bell's palsy and other types of peripheral facial palsies. If you suffer from synkinesis, excessive tearing, facial pains, asymmetry of facial movements and other residuals and complications, then you can benefit from knowledge and practical skills that will be provided during this event.
The Seminar (theoretical).
During the seminar we will discuss anatomical, physiological and psychological aspects of facial palsy. We will discuss the possible causes of facial palsies, mechanisms of nerve damage and the process of recovery. We will pay special attention to the reasons why the recovery of facial movements after facial palsy is not always complete. Furthermore, we will elaborate on what should and what should not be done to facilitate the regeneration of facial nerve and to improve chances for maximal recovery. During the seminar we will take a close look at various methods and techniques that are presently being used in Bell's palsy rehabilitation.
The Workshop (practical).
After the seminar we will give a workshop for Bell's palsy patients, who for various reasons cannot attend individual rehabilitation programs at our clinic in Rotterdam. Crystal Touch rehabilitation programs are composed individually for every patient, depending on the history of your facial palsy and the present condition of your facial muscles and facial tissue. During the workshop you will learn the foundation principles of Crystal Touch rehabilitation as well as basic techniques that you can practice at home in order to change the situation for better.
The number of participants in the workshop is limited. To approach each case individually within the allocated workshop time, we may need some additional information in advance about your case.

The Seminar will take place from 11am to 2pm. The Workshop will start at 3pm and will end at 7pm. You can choose whether you want to attend only the seminar or both seminar and workshop. The workshop cannot be attended without the seminar, due to neccessary knowledge required for understanding the infromation presented at the workshop. During the event itself, it will not be possible to register for the workshop, if you have a seminar-only ticket.
