Gol Gumbaz is the second largest dome in the world that stands without pillar support.
The architecture is mind blowing and the stairs to top leads to amazing view of entire Bijapur/Vijayapura.

At the very top is a whispering gallery where even the slightest whisper can be heard at the other end very clearly.
Owing to heat we started early and got the gallery all to ourselves and could whisper all that we wanted.
However be mindful as the sound navigates through the dome and is audible to anyone below too 😉
