Enter here in Asakusa through the Kaminarimon Thunder Gate to see the popular sight of the Buddhist Sensoji Temple.
On the way there, enjoy the shopping and culture as you walk through Nakamise until you reach the entry Hozomon gate. This area was crowded, largely with tourists, but it still maintained a Japanese-ness that was very energizing to be consumed by.
Nearby the temple, you will see many Buddhist attractions and hear a lot of this ceremonial rattling noise. And if you are like me, you will see Buddhist praying in the temple. Which I thought was cool but a bit unusual because it seems like such a private thing.
As an added bonus, you can see the famed Tokyo Skytree from a few blocks away.
