Biographies
Dave Ferris is the County Conservationist for Burnett County. He received his degree in Agriculture and Resource Management from UW-River Falls. Dave has been part of the Land and Water Conservation Department for over 35 years. He works with a variety of landowners from agricultural producers to lake shore owners. He has a lot of experience working with a variety of good, bad, and/or ugly shorelines with runoff issues. Dave administers Burnett County’s popular Shoreline Incentive Program (SIP) as well as being a member of the WDNR Healthy Lakes Team.
Dan Harrington has been a Water Management Specialist (WMS) with the Wisconsin DNR for 21 years protecting lakes, streams, and wetlands from harm due to improper physical alterations in 11 counties in northern Wisconsin including the entire shoreline of Lake Superior and associated islands. He evaluates habitat, water quality and quantity, and water use to make decisions on whether to permit waterway or wetland alterations as well as providing technical assistance to local government officials.
Jason Kieseth graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a double major in Field Biology and Business Administration. He has been the Polk County Zoning Administrator for the last 7 years.
