Following the huge success of her live-action Barbie and The Sims movies, Academy Award nominee Margot Robbie is now producing and starring in a live-action adaptation of the classic board game Monopoly for Hasbro and Universal Pictures. Robbie will produce through her LuckyChap Entertainment banner along with Universal Pictures. Details about Robbie's character and plot details are being kept under wraps, but the film is reportedly in early development and expected to begin casting and filming within the next two years. Hasbro's Monopoly, first published in 1935 by Parker Brothers, is one of the best-selling board games of all time with over 1 billion copies sold to date.
