Two Utah lawmakers are praising a resolution which designates April as a month of kindness for the state, and honor the lives of the victims of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
At a press conference earlier, Ryan Petty spoke in favor of the measure. Petty is the father of 14-year-old Alaina who lost her life during the recent shooting in Florida. He says the resolution supports his daughter's legacy. The resolution supports acts that shed light on the goodness in communities while encouraging student’s participation in using the Safe-UT app. That app designed to prevent future acts of violence.
