The tribe of Dan was one of the 12 tribes of Israel. Dan was removed out of the land of Israel along with the 10 tribes of Israel when the Assyrian Empire conquered the Kingdom of Israel in the 720's BC.
The tribe of Dan has never been reunited with Judah.
The oldest Nordic sources, such as Snorri Sturlasson of Iceland who wrote in the early 13th cen., write that the Scandinavians and many Germans descend from two tribes called Aser & Vaner which lived north of the Caucasus Mts. This was very close to where the Israelite tribes of Asher and Dan were placed by the Assyrians.
The modern Danish people are in fact descendants of the ancient Israelite tribe of Dan.
