Commenting on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech on the 76th anniversary of India's independence, Congress leader Pawan Khera said the occasion is not for raising political issues, but that PM Modi has changed the tradition. It is not necessary to respond to such low-level tradition, Pawan Khera said, adding that Prime Minister Modi has broken none of his Independence Day promises.
"What happened to the promises of 15 lakh, doubling farmers' income, and housing for all?" the Congress leader asked.
He continued "Only Prime Minister Modi can say whether his attack was directed at his ministers or their sons. We have no idea who he attacked. However, the country expected him to submit a report card for the previous eight years."
