French Prime Minister Jean Castex has tested positive for COVID-19.
According to his office, Mr Castex is isolating after being notified of the result. He had met with the Belgian Prime Minister earlier in the day.
France is one of several European nations experiencing a significant increase in COVID-19 infections.
The country reported more than 19,500 daily cases yesterday.
