Uganda has become the first African country to de-risk medium scale renewable energy projects. The country has signed an agreement with the Regional Liquidity Support Facility to protect new small-- and mid-sized renewable energy projects up to 50 mega watts. The East African nation can now ensure more renewable energy projects can achieve better financing. CGTN's Leon Ssenyange filed this report.
