It was a bit confusing experience for me. Before this Prost F1 V10 I drove 2 laps in a Benetton B198 F1, which unfortunately suffered from a mechanical failure and therefore quit on me on the end of the second lap. At the retry for the remaining 2 laps the same mechanical failure appeared due to a faulty sensor. The sensor couldn't be replaced in an instant, so LRS Formula decided to let me drive in the Prost V10 for the remaining 2 laps as there wasn't another F1 V8 available (only 1 was brought to Dijon-Prenois). In the first 2 laps in the Benetton I wasn't succesful in bringing the brake-temperature of the carbon brake discs up to a proper working level. That wasn't very confidence building, as wasn't the car failing on me. When I changed to the Prost V10 I couldn't even succeed in getting the engine started by giving the correct pulsating throttle input and I needed to be helped by the mechanics getting the engine started. Then the shift lever didn't respond on me to put into gear. And that all happened prior to even driving away. So all my fantasy, hope and dreams of having a slightest bit of talent to do a proper effort were gone by now. The instructors pointed to me the marbels, that were adhered to the stone cold slick tires (the Prost F1 V10 had been parked all day), so I didn't expect much grip from them immediately. Therefore I started this experience with a disturbed concentration and a not so very promising mindset and got that result as well. I have to say the brakes on the Prost felt more confident. But the engine didn't run smoothly to higher revs. So all in all it was nice to have driven the V10 once, because the price tag of that experience is out of my league. But this drive was a cowardly effort on my side and I didn't really get out of it, what I would have wished, because I was a bit overwhelmed by everything that happened before. I was braught back to the pits 2 times with a minivan instead of returning in the Benetton F1 and I sure wasn't being braught back a 3rd time in that way, especially not as a result of spinning the Prost V10.
