TRIZ support on YIM program called MaGRIs
Yayasan Inovasi Malaysia (YIM), or the Malaysian Foundation for Innovation, was established in October 2008 and was approved by the Malaysian Cabinet on 7-November 2008. The vision of YIM is to promote and inculcate creativity and innovation among Malaysian citizens, especially targeting children and youth, women, rural folk, people with disabilities and non-government organizations.
With close support from the Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation (MOSTI), YIM was established by the Government to promote and champion innovation, and by doing so, to mobilize Malaysians to embrace and practice Creativity and Innovation. Innovation is the engine that will propel us to that future. And it will happen in all segments of our society, in our schools and colleges, from even the grassroot level, in our businesses and industries.
YIM OBJECTIVES
To develop and promote creative skills in the field of science and technology in academia, industry and society.
To nurture and support scientific innovation at grassroots’ level particularly among the youths, women and non-governmental organisations.
To conduct educational and awareness programmes to enhance appreciation of science and technology at schools and grassroots’ level.
Agensi Inovasi Malaysia (AIM) is a statutory body created to jump start wealth creation through knowledge, technology and innovation to stimulate and develop the innovation eco-system in Malaysia. We lay down the foundation of innovation that inspire and produce a new generation of innovative entrepreneurs.

Based on the recommendation from Unit Inovasi Khas (UNIK), which functions as a strategic think tank for innovation, the government initiated a bill for the establishment of a national innovation ecosystem that would spur the creation of new wealth for the nation and ensure sustainable economic growth.
The AIM Bill was tabled for its first reading in Parliament on December 13, 2010 before being passed on its third and final reading on December 21, 2010. It spells out the rationale and philosophies behind AIM.
